Living in Chevy Chase, Maryland

Chevy Chase is an unincorporated town in Montgomery County located northeast of Bethesda, Md.

Boundaries extend to East-West Highway in the north, Connecticut Avenue in the east, Bradley Lane in the south and one block east of Wisconsin Avenue to the west.

Real estate in Chevy Chase is expensive as the land is very valuable.

The town is largely centered on Connecticut Avenue north of Washington, D.C. Close by is the neighborhood of Friendship Heights, which features a variety of shopping and dining options as well as offices, condos and a Metro station.

Each of these villages and the town share a common history that dates back to the 1890s when two men purchased thousands of acres of land north of Washington, D.C. with hopes of developing a residential streetcar suburb.

Primarily a residential suburb, Chevy Chase is also home of the National Science Bowl, held in early April or late May each year at the National 4-H Center.
